INTRO TO ARCHERY - Monday Class - Spring 2022

This introductory course is open to the general public, offered to adults and youth (8 years and older) that own archery equipment (we can provide basic equipment if needed) who wish to learn about archery and begin practicing shooting with a bow and arrow..
  • Club membership with Minnehaha Archers is not required.
  • If children under 14 are taking the course, a parent needs to be on site during the class – this is NOT a drop-off class.

This course offers participants the opportunity to learn about archery basics, archery equipment, range rules &etiquette, safety, pre-shooting warm-ups and stretches, proper shooting techniques, shooting form and the various types of archery shooting.

Each week students will be introduced to new concepts and skills while continuing to focus on archery form.

What should I bring and how should I prepare for this course?
  • Class participants are required to bring with them an arm guard which will be required to shoot during each class. Arm guards are inexpensive and are available for purchase at many sporting goods stores.
  • You will need to complete a waiver and release form – this is standard for all archers using our facilities.
  • Once registered, make sure to show up to the class on time (10 - 15 minutes earlier is always appreciated), come to the class wearing close-toed shoes (no open toed sandals or flip-flops), loose, comfortable clothing, and for anyone with long hair, be sure to have hair tied back. Also, do not wear loose jewelry – particularly bracelets or necklaces

Class capacity: Registration is limited to 25 participants, first-come, first-serve

Class starts on: May 2, 2022 - May 23, 2022

Classes schedule: 4 week 5/2, 5/9, 5/16, 5/23

Monday evenings from 6:30pm – 8:00pm.

Course cost: $40.00 per participant.You must pay at the time of registration
