MINNEHAHA ARCHERS YOUTH ARCHERY PROGRAM
Education is part of Minnehaha Archers Inc.'s mission, our club has a deep background in archery education. Beginning archery classes have been taught for over 50 years at our club by volunteer members.
Junior Olympic Archery Development -JOAD is a program implemented in 2013 at Minnehaha Archers Inc. JOAD and open to any youth archer aged 8 to 18 and is designed to grow with the youth archer.
JOAD is a nationwide program of USA Archery that provides kids and teens with ongoing archery classes that help the archer progress from beginner to advanced level archery, at their own pace.
As a student of our JOAD program, the archer will learn range safety, proper shooting form, advanced techniques, and tournament preparation under the guidance of USA Archery Level 1 - 2 and 3 certified instructors and coaches.
The environment is designed to foster focus, increase self-confidence, and encourage team building.
Currently we have members whom are certified as USA Archery Level I Instructors, Level II Instructors and Level III Coaches and a National Field Archery Association certified Advanced Archery Instructors.
We have an education committee that keeps member certifications up to date and training materials on hand. The committee also schedules classes and programs throughout the year.
All of our coaches are proud to follow the USA Archery Code of Ethics.
Courses are available to become a Certified USA Archery Level I and Level II Coach thru Minnehaha Archers Inc for members and non-members. |
